Weekly Process Group for Therapists
Co-facilitated by Christina Oliver, LPC-MHSP, CGP and Avi Dressler, LMFT, CGP
Meets on Thursday mornings from 9:00 am – 10:15 am in Hillsboro Village
This group is for therapists who are interested in forming new connections with their peers, furthering their professional and personal growth, and inviting more vitality and fulfilment into their life and work.
Why join a therapy group for therapists?
- Irvin Yalom said it best: “Every therapist should have a therapy group for themselves to prevent burnout and for their continued professional and personal growth.”
- Therapists often struggle to find groups for their own therapeutic work because they wish to work with others who have comparable therapy experience, psychological vocabulary, and relational capacity.
- Being a member of a therapy group is the best preparation for leading groups.
- Therapists can suffer from feelings of isolation due to the nature of their work.
- Having spaces to talk through the challenges of our work improves our capacity to show up in an emotional available way in our work and in our life.
