Why Join a Group?

Group Overview | Group Schedule

People who join therapy groups usually come with different goals in mind, but they typically have two things in common: they want to feel better within themselves and they want relate better to others.

In the therapy group setting, you will have the opportunity to observe your habitual ways of relating to others in real time and to practice new behaviors that will ultimately lead to more satisfying relationships in your outside life.

To accomplish this, I invite my group members to pay attention to all of their thoughts and feelings during group sessions and then decide what to express that will move their relationships into new territory. I also invite members to gradually tell the emotionally significant story of their lives. These tasks are easier said than done! But over time, they lead to a sense of being deeply understood and accepted and to a greater sense of vitality and efficacy in life.
